Privacy Policy

What stays on your iPhone

Your conversations, memories, todos, personal skills, imported documents, and search indexes are stored in an encrypted database on your device. The AI model runs locally. These are excluded from automatic device backups, so losing your phone can lose this data unless you have made your own export. Your Elren account cannot restore it.

What reaches our servers

• Account: an identifier from Sign in with Apple. We do not ask for your name or email.
• Subscription: your App Store transaction identifiers and plan state.
• Web search: when the assistant searches the web, the search words pass through our server to our search provider (Tavily). We do not store the query or the results.
• Cloud learning, only if you turn it on: selected examples from your interactions, within the categories you choose, are uploaded to train a model adapter for you alone.

Cloud learning

Off by default and revocable at any time. Your full memory database and search indexes are never uploaded. Examples are encrypted at rest, processed on isolated rented GPU machines that are destroyed after each job, deleted within seven days, and never pooled with other users' data. Your adapter is delivered only to you. We keep your current adapter and the previous one. Forgetting a fact on your phone removes it from your memory, but cannot by itself remove its influence from an adapter already trained; you can reset personalization to discard adapters.

Gmail

If you connect Gmail, your iPhone talks directly to Google. Access tokens stay in the iOS Keychain and message content is read on your device. We do not receive your email. Email is sent only after you approve the exact message. Elren's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used to train generalized AI models.

Calendar, photos, files

These are read on your device, with your permission, and are not uploaded.

Analytics

The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising. Our servers keep ordinary request logs containing paths and status codes, not content.

Your controls

In Settings you can export your memories and todos, delete all local data, disconnect accounts, turn off cloud learning, and delete your account. Deleting your account removes your uploaded examples, adapters, and job records.
